• Prednisone Tablets are indicated for endocrine disorders (thyroiditis, congenital adrenal hyperplasia); rheumatic disorders (psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute gouty arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, epicondylitis); collagen diseases (polymyositis, systemic lupus erythatosus); dermatologic diseases (pemphigus, severe psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis); allergic states (bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis); ophthalmic diseases (allergic conjunctivitis, keratitis, herpes zoster);respiratory diseases, hematologic disorders, neoplastic diseases, edematous states, gastrointestinal diseases, and acute exacerbations of the multiple sclerosis.
• Prednisone is used as an antitumor drug.
• Prednisone is very important in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Non-Hodgkin lymphomas, Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma and other hormone-sensitive tumors, in combination with other anticancer drugs.
