Pre-Customs Clearance Inspection   We perform a shipment inspection in order to verify the container’s condition and to ensure that the goods are shipped in an orderly fashion and pursuant to the shipment documents, invoice, and the packing list. We also crosscheck the quantity, quality, markings, and labeling. The purpose of the inspection is to advantageously replace the pre-customs inspection performed at the port of destination. Governments implement PSI programmes to ensure that imports comply with their regulations. Non-compliance with these regulations can result in: The loss of valuable duty and tax revenue The loss of foreign exchange reserves (in countries where exchange controls exist) The potential importation of substandard or prohibited goods       Benefits CDG Inspection Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) maximises duty collections. By undertaking duty assessment in the country of export, importers have no opportunity to pressurize customs to assign lower rates. Compliance with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Agreement on Customs Valuation is now mandatory for all members. CDG Inspection ensures that the Agreement is fully implemented as required by the WTO, and in a way that maintains duty revenue collections. Trade facilitation: inefficient Customs administrations and the failure of importers to comply with import procedures can both delay trade. An CDG Inspection certificate ensures rapid Customs clearance, by undertaking the necessary physical and documentary inspections before the consignment is dispatched. CDG Inspection PSI deters capital flight in countries where exchange controls exist by preventing deliberately inflated invoicing. This can deplete foreign exchange reserves, which can also reduce the taxable income declared by multinational companies. CDG Inspection PSI significantly reduces the incidence of illegal imports, such as radioactive waste, by inspecting shipments in the country of export before dispatch. As a PSI programme takes effect, so a vast database of vital trade information is created, which can be supplied to the Client Government in a variety of formats, as an aid to economic decision making and to induce confidence in donors.

The purpose of Pre-Shipment Inspection is to:

Check the quantity and quality of the merchandise ready to be shipped

Detailed product inspection to check for defects/ non-conformities

Ensure products meet the various safety/labelling requirements of the destination market/client

Issue Inspection/Audit Report providing information of actual findings. Once the PSI is completed, a report is compiled with a pass/fail result, and a detailed account of the inspection results. These Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) reports invariably provide photographic evidence of all aspects of the inspection, including all defects/non conformities found, so there are no unpleasant surprises once consignment arrives in your warehouse

CDG appropriately qualified and experienced auditors to perform inspections according to type of product to be inspected. Relevant international standards are followed, but the objective is to provide a balanced, unbiased view, while checking to ensure that your products meet specifications
