GELATION TIMER FOR POWDERS
A simple hotplate type gelation timer. It consists of a 100mm hotplate with an indentation in the center for sample holding and a programmable, variable heating rate digital control system, to increase the temperature very gradually, so as to determine the exact gelation temperature. The actual gelation is determined by poking the heated sample with a wooden stick and observing the temperature at which it begins to set.
