The test involves the reaction of soluble ferrous iron salts with potassium ferricyanide to form ferric hexacyano ferrate, which is commonly known as Prussian blue. The blue prusian blue coloring shows the presence soluble ferrous iron salts on blasted steel surface. Simply spray a solution from the bottle supplied onto the blasted steel and then place a Potassium Ferri cyanide test paper onto this location for 10 seconds.
