Thanjavur raw Ponni rice is grown in the delta of Kaveri belt. The rice has a unique aroma which raises one's appetite. Our production is in the season of Samba the month of August. And the rice is harvested after 120 - 140 days of cultivation. It has a sweet nature highly prepared in vegetarian meals used in making delicious food of south India such as Sweet Pongal, Curd rice and Ven Pongal.
