Pomegranate is a fruit bearing plant that grows upto 10 m in height. It is also called a deciduous shrub and belongs from Lythraceae family. The fruit of pomegranate comes from the month of September to February. It is grown in North Africa, India, Iran, Central Asia, California, South- East Asia, Japan, Afghanistan, United States and Arizona. The fruit of pomegranate is very sweet in taste and used in many forms like juice, fruit and many other forms. Various parts of Pomegranate are used to make medicines due to its antioxidant property.
