Known for their excellent film formation, emulsifying power, and adhesion to the substrate,PVA is manufactured by polymerization of vinyl acetate monomer, followed by hydrlysis of the polyvinyl acetate PVA has been extensively used in textile industry for warp sizing and resin finishing; in paper industry for surface sizing and pigment coating; in the production of PVAc emulsion as protective colloid; in the suspension polymerization of PVC as a dispersion agent; as a binder for ceramics, magnet, foundry cores and pigments.
