Polyester labels usually have a glossy finish, and might be white polyester, silver polyester, and now OTHER COLORS! Thermal transfer imprintable polyester labels usually require a resin thermal transfer ribbon, i.e. the SDR ribbon.
Common applications for polyester labels include company asset labels and other identification labels, asset labels and property labels used for identification of property, equipment and electronics. Polyester with heavy coat weight acrylic adhesive is also available for extremely rugged applications. Polyester labels are often used in place of foil labels, where a more durable material is required.
