A low yielding polyanionic cellulose polymer which is used as a fluid loss reducer and scale inhibitor, high performance product, readily, dispersible in water base drilling muds ranging from fresh water to saturated salt water, LO can also be used in combination with, when a further decrease in fluid loss is necessary without having an increase in viscosity.
Rheology, fluid loss and the scale inhibiton are closely related to the presence of the polymer in the water phase and to the absorption on solids, Consequently a replacement of the polymer lost on drilled cuttings has to be considered
