Contact SupplierConcrete Polishing
Polished Concrete is concrete that has been treated with a chemical densifier and ground with progressively finer grinding tools. The grinding tools are usually progressive grits of diamond grinding cup wheels and diamond polishing pads. We grind concrete floor surfaces, whether new or old, to a high-gloss finish that never needs waxes or coatings. Factor in the superior durability and performance of concrete, it’s no wonder why more retail, warehouse, and office facilities are opting for polished concrete flooring as an alternative to marble, granite, tile, or coated concrete.

Advantages
Process & Environmental information
In the process, only environmentally friendly impregnation and cleaning fluids are used, which means the floor doesn’t present a hazard to health or the environment. The floor has a very long service life and high strength, which reduces the need for maintenance, and thus the environmental burden, to an absolute minimum.
Process
The first grinding step is intended to remove the concrete skin and expose the underlying fine material. Normally, only 1 mm of the surface is ground down. After performing initial coarse grinding with the diamond abrasives, a liquid chemical hardener is applied to the concrete to help solidify and densify the surface and provide extra protection from water penetration and staining.
Now floor is ready to give the concrete surface a fine polish using diamond abrasives embedded in a resin matrix.
