APM 460 DXNL is one of the most advanced PM10 samplers being manufactured in India. It is based on CSIR NEERI technology and is the only PM 10 sampler in India that  conforms to BIS 5182 (Part 23): 2006

Automatic flow controller and auto shut off

 

In all previous models of particulate samplers in use in the country, the sampling rate varies with dust loading on the filter and fluctuates with changes in the mains voltage. The APM 460 DXNL uses an electronic flow controller to automatically maintain constant sampling rate through the filter/cyclone assembly. The size fractionating cyclone of the APM 460 DXNL thus operates close to its designed separation velocity resulting in a sharper cut-off for particulates larger than 10 microns. When the dust load on filter becomes excessive and exceeds the capacity of the blower the electronic circuits provided in the flow controller automatically shut down the machine.

 

Owing to its modular design, APM 460 DXNL can be easily paired with a gaseous sampling attachment (for monitoring SO2, NOx, NH3, Ozone etc) as gaseous sampling requires only a few LPM of air flow. This is possible through an attachable subsidiary unit APM 411 or the more modern APM 411 TE. Kindly refer to respective brochures of APM 411 and APM 411TE for details

Affordable products designed for field use in harsh operating conditions
The biggest customer pain point with imported equipment is that they are hi-tech black boxes incompatible to the harsh operating environment in developing countries. Besides being expensive, these instruments are based upon secondary properties which require calibration and support facilities often not available in the local markets. Envirotech has therefore, consciously based its instruments on primary / standard methods by US EPA and WHO. Wherever necessary, features have been added to make the systems suitable for hot weather and sometimes erratic power supply. For example, gaseous sampling units of our High Volume Samplers have insulated cold boxes surrounding the wet-bubblers to ensure complete absorption of gaseous pollutants.
In house R&D and manufacturing
To maintain its leadership in the field of air monitoring, Envirotech has continuously upgraded its instruments and endeavoured to introduce better technology. To support the in house R & D effort, the company has developed close associations with a number of leading experts in important national institutes like IITs, Roorkee University, NEERI, and National Physical Laboratory. Such efforts have led to the addition of an Organic Vapor Sampler and a PM 2.5 Fine Particulate Sampler to our product range. Envirotech's in house R & D center has won recognition from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India
Envirotech uses its own 5000 square feet industrial premises at New Delhi to manufacture these systems. Fifty staff comprises of fifteen engineers and scientists, twenty-five technicians and balance administrative and marketing personnel
Strong emphasis on reliable calibration
Besides strengthening the development effort, Envirotech has sought institutional support in calibrating its equipment. Flow metering devices used in Envirotech's products are periodically calibrated at IIT Delhi in test rigs developed for the purpose. The Wind Monitor has been wind tunnel tested at IIT Delhi. Sophisticated techniques like scanning electron microscope and laser particle counters have been used to evaluate our Respirable Dust Sampler's particle size cut-off
Commitment towards customer training
Even the best equipment can give erratic results if it is not handled properly, due to a dearth of trained manpower. Envirotech has therefore made consistent efforts to help train our users and their staff by organizing several short courses and workshops all over the country in locations like Ghaziabad, Patiala, Parwanoo, Raipur, Baroda, Indore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Salem, Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong and Nepal-Kathmandu. These courses have often been co-sponsored by the pollution control boards and also included faculty from local universities and engineering colleges
