Pilot Plant

A pilot plant is a small system which is operated to find out about the behavior of a process before using it on a large industrial scale. The pilot plant is used for testing the quality of soaps in the Lab by preparing small batches and varying the quantity of ingredients until the desired product is obtained. This process is done before full-scale production takes place to get the best quality.
A Pilot Plant consists of every machine used in the actual industrial process of manufacturing but in a relatively smaller size that can fit in a lab and can be easily operated by Lab chemists for testing various batches of Soap, by varying as well as adding new ingredients like perfumes, fillers, colors etc.The test batch results give the idea that what would be the final product obtained when the same batch is made on a full industrial scale.
