Picon Cream is used to treat eczema (atopic dermatitis). It works by suppressing the activity of certain immune cells that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) of the skin, relieving itching, and improving rashes associated with atopic dermatitis. COMPOSITION : Pimecrolimus (1% w/w) Usage Instructions: Picon Cream is for external use only. It should be applied 2-4 times a day to the affected area or as directed by your doctor. Apply the cream slowly and evenly until it is fully absorbed. Do not use it excessively, and avoid covering the treated area with a bandage or plaster. Inform your doctor if there is no improvement after two weeks of treatment or if the skin condition worsens. Common Side Effects: Some common side effects include headache, nasopharyngitis, cough, influenza, fever, and viral infections. Reactions at the application site, such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness, may also occur. This medication is generally not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding unless absolutely necessary.
