At Suresh Steels, we hold a capacity to pickle HR coils stretching to the maximum width of upto 1600mm and maximum weight of 25MT. Pickling is simply the application of Hydrochloric Acid from two acid tanks (each of 15mtrs length and maintained at a set temperature) to the coils with an intent to clean it of its rusty layers, scales and other visible impurities. This arrangement is followed by a hot chamber to dry the coils followed by an oil spray system. At the end of Pickling, the coils display a bright surface finish. The average pickling speed is 20 mtrs/ minute
