Indications :

• For operative cover of Pheochromocytoma
• Management of severe shock
• To control episodes of hypertension
• As adjuvant in the management of urinary retention due to a neurogenic bladder or prostatic hypertrophy

Dosage :

• Pheochromocytoma : 1mg/kg intravenously in 200ml of 0.9% NaCl, infused over atleast 2 hours.
• Pulmonary Hypertension : 0.05 to 1mg/kg body wt.
• Renally Impaired Patients : Use with caution.
