Perma Glass Tile Mortar is a polymer modified cementitious material in white powder form. Perma Glass Tile Mortar only needs onsite addition of water to make a paste, which is used for filling and fixing glass mosaic tiles. Perma Glass Tile Mortar is suitable for use on vertical as well as horizontal surfaces. Our Perma Glass Tile Mortar has a long shelf life. Specification : BS5980:1980, Draft CEN: prEN12004 1997 Primary Use : Perma Glass Tile Mortar (GTM) is especially developed for fixing and filling glass mosaic tiles. Glass Mosaic tile fixing technique requires that the joint filling is done first and the fixing mortar is applied thereafter. Sometimes same material is used for fixing as well as joint filling. Hence GTM is made in brilliant white color. Perma Glass Tile Mortar not only helps in scientific fixing of the glass mosaic tiles but also makes the tiled area waterproof. Guide To Application : Ensure that the surface to be tiled is clean and free from dust, dirt, grease etc. Mix GTM with clean water, in the proportion of 3.5 volumes of powder to I volume of water. Mix till a uniform consistency, smooth white paste is obtained. Leave the paste for ten minutes in the pan for the entrapped air if any, to escape and remix the paste. Apply the paste uniformly on to the surface to be tiled as well as on the back of the Glass Mosaic tiles till the joints therein are effectively filled and press the tiles in position. Same day wash out the back up paper with wet scrubber.
