MACIL access product DLC (Digital Loop Carrier) system offers FTTB (Fiber to the
Building), FTTC services. DLC is a unified network to provide both Narrowband (POTS, ISDN,
TDM Data) and Broadband services on a single fiber infrastructure. The DLC consists of a COT
(Central Office terminal) and a host of RTs (Remote Terminals) interconnected through a SDH
Ring. Use of WDM technology on DLC provides an overlay network for Broadband services on the same infrastructure. The RT is a self contained system with Transmission systems (SDH system), Access Channel Banks, Power Plants & Batteries, all terminations (FDF, DDF, MDF). The philosophy is the "Fiber-in to subscribers' services out. The broadband access products also include IP DSLAMs, B-RAS (Broadband Remote Access Servers, IP Ethernet switches and Routers.
