MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Like any other atypical antipsychotic drug, Paliperidone works by antagonizing the dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors present in the brain, thereby balancing the level of dopamine and serotonin and reducing hallucinations.
INDICATIONS:
Schizophrenia
Used as an adjunct drug for treating depression
Mild liver dysfunction
Mild renal impairment
