Overview
Otis XO-508 is a modular escalator with a maximum rise of 5 meters. It has a similar handrail inlet/outlet design as the Otis 506 NCE escalators. The XO-508 is equipped with stainless steel or die cast aluminum (optional) steps and several safety features such as emergency stop button, handrail entry guard, step broken protection device, missing step monitoring device, etc. It is powered by an EM-W1 machine and a 32-bit microprocessor GECS controller. It can also be optionally equipped with an Otis Regen, an energy regenerative device which can regenerates electricity for reuse
