Yes, open source is a cult! there is this belief of being part of something when you are a open source community contributor, you get a sense to protect and enhance.
That is open source. Microsoft does not allow us to do that… they keep us away, but allow only what we need (or can use)! No fair!
Using open source, you can build your own template and process frameworks.
We work with Java, PHP, & sometime Ruby, but then Ruby developers are just as rare as ruby is in our markets, so we do not aggressively seek out and make do with ruby development projects.
