Omepra 40 (Omeprazole For Injection 40 Mg)

Omeprazole, a medication available only by prescription, is used to treat the signs and symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which the oesophagus (the tube connecting the throat and stomach) may be damaged by the backward flow of stomach acid in adults and children older than one year old. Damage from GERD is treated with prescription omeprazole in adults and children one month of age and older. In adults and kids aged one year and older with GERD, prescription omeprazole is used to promote esophageal healing and stop future esophageal damage. Additionally, adults with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other diseases where the stomach overproduces acid are treated with prescription omeprazole.
