In Buddhism, Tibetan Flags are used for prayer, hence they are called Buddhist Tibetan Prayer Flag. Everything from the mantra written on those flags to their color has a deep meaning. Actually, there is a belief in Buddhism that these prayer flags essentially carry our prayers through the air. These flags are believed to spread peace, kindness, strength, and intelligence in the atmosphere through the air, due to which positivity flows everywhere.

• It is said that the first prayer flag was used by Gautama Buddha, after whose education the foundation of Buddhism was laid.
• The prayers written on these flags are not meant to be passed on to God but it is said that these prayers will spread through the air to the whole universe and establish world peace.
• There is a belief in Buddhism that whenever the wind blows, the positiveness of these mantras flow in all areas. Therefore, these flags are always tied at height.
• It is also considered auspicious to place these flags at home and shop.
