Contact SupplierMonomethylamine Nitrate is a nitric acid salt of monomethylamine. It is also used extensively in manufacture of emulsion explosive to replace other secondary sensitizers like sodium per chlorate, potassium per chlorate, atomized aluminum, etc. It is widely use in explosive industry as sensitizer in water gel explosives. The use of Mono Methyl Amine Nitrate (MMAN) was started by Germany during World War II where it was one of the components of a fusible explosive blend used for filling missiles along with sodium nitrate and cyclonite. The use of Mono Methyl Amine Nitrate solution in commercial explosives was pioneered by Du Pont in the early 1960�s when they started studies on the use of MMAN as a sensitizer in water gel explosives.
