Monoethylene Glycol (M.E.G)

  Monoethylene glycol, which has a syrup like consistency is colourless as well as odourless. In industrial applications Monoethylene glycol is an important raw material. Among the commercially available ethylene glycols, it is the most important as it has many industrial uses. For the manufacture of polyester fibers, around 55% of Monoethylene glycol is used and around 25% in the making of PET or polyethylene terephthalate bottles and packaging.
