we would like to introduce ourselves as absortech india pvt ltd, subsidiary of absortech which is into manufacturing of powerful desiccants.absortech is specialized in developing efficient and innovative desiccants for humidity protection during shipment and storage. you can rely on our knowledge and expertise when it comes to protecting your cargo from moisture. absortech carries out a focused r&d which has lead to a number of innovative product features and solutions and views itself as a pioneer in the desiccant industry . we are operating in more than 40 countries across globe with manufacturing facilities at sweden,china and indonesia. desiccant is commonly used for absorbing moisture. broadly there are two types of desiccants: 1) inbox desiccant – this comes in small pouch and easily fits inside the packing . this will protect the cargo from moisture starting from packaging till it reaches the customers. please find attached more details about our esorb range of products. . material : we have md ,mt & sd md = clay 90% + cacl 10% mt = clay sd = silica gel md (mineral desiccant) about 50-70% absorption. many exporters use md due to about double the absorption of silica gel and its price effectiveness. complaints are rare about wet spots on organic products but it is still important that you are aware of this. mt (montmorillonite clay) about 25-30% absorption. it is natural and non-toxic product. it can be used in direct contact with metals. sd (silica gel) about 25-35% absorption. it is not a very effective product. but it is the product to use in direct contact with food or pharmaceutical products. silica gel has some restrictions for shipments to europe and the united states. but the white type silica gel we use in non-toxic. packaging : cp = complex paper it is a breathable paper and can only be used for desiccants below 10 grams as otherwise it may tear. nw = nonwoven not as strong or dust proof as tyvek but still suitable for many applications. ty = tyvek strong material, no leakage and dust proof. thus we have a wide combination of inbox desiccants available in 1 gm to 2000 gms. 2) container desiccant – this comes in various packing’s. based on destination, voyage time, quantity , season etc we can suggest the best suitable container desiccant for your shipments. this protects the shipment during voyage from moisture related problems like container rain . under container desiccants , we have 1) absorpole - plastic packing and high end 2) absorbag - highest selling product in india - economical. pe/pp packing also available with additional cardboard at the bottom - ( new entry) 3)absorgel blanket - high end product - meant for specific categories. - no collection bag. 4) absorgel hanging - bit costly compared to absorbag - fastest growing product outside india and is viewed as product for future. 5) absortop - highest moisture collecting provision - 5.5 l. plastic packing 6)absorgel is also available in packs of 125, 250 gm & so on with out collection bags at bottom advantages over silica gel : absorption capacity of 120 to 200% compared to 25 to 40% of silica gel. hence 1 kg of our calcium chloride based desiccant can replace up to 8 kg of silica gel. works effectively at a very high temperatures even beyond 40c.
