Mobile Storage Compactor

Compactor or mobile rack system consists of multiple wheeled storage racks which run along rails installed on a floor for efficient use of limited space. Each rack accommodates files, documents, books and other goods on the floor of the room with spaces left between the adjacent racks for easy access. These manually actuated mobile racks incorporate a rotary handle provided at one side of the rack connected through transmission mechanism to a driving axle of driving wheels. The arrangement is such that a man standing by the rack rotates the handle to drive the driving wheels so that the wheels are driven to roll along the rails to move the rack to the desired position.
The most advantageous features of compactors is multiple racks moved by a single driving wheel and thereby economize the space by reducing the cost of infrastructure. For record storage solutions, staff or industrial lockers can also be provided with 4 lockers to 24 lockers per rack combinations.
