MMO Anodes or Mixed Metal oxide coated Titanium anodes (electrodes) are anodes with a coating (layer) of mixed metal oxides like RuO2, IrO2, or PtO over its surface. MMO Anodes are used inside the electrolytic cells for producing free chlorine from saltwater in hypochlorite generation, brine or saltwater in swimming pools, in electrowinning of metals, in printed circuit board electroplating, in electro-galvanising of steel and for cathodic protection of buried or submerged structures.
