Mill Sanitation Chemical (SKY-224) Biocide is apt for For Sugar Mill Micro-Organism Control. This Mill Sanitation Chemical (SKY-224) is a wide spectrum bactericide and fungicide used to control the growth of bacteria and fungi found in cane. These bactericide and fungicide cause considerable loss of sucrose by inversion into Dextran. It is a blend of different dithiocarbamate compounds with enzymes and activators that kill most of the harmful microorganisms. The use of Mill Sanitation Chemical (SKY-224) is always coupled with good housekeeping practices; this should include regular cleaning at least one per shift. Regular hosing with hot water and steam in mills, bagacillo conveyors and screens is essential for maintaining efficient control of microbiological slime and sucrose losses.

Alkaline Application :

• SKY - 224 should be fed directly into the cane juice so that treated juice circulates to all parts of mill tandem
• Frequently the dosage will be split between the crusher juice and juice from the last mill
• Approximately 50% of the dosage is added to the juice collector of mill tandem. And 25% each in the juice collector of 3rd and 4th tandem

Dosage : It should be fed continuously at the rate of 10-20 ppm of cane ground per day. 10 ppm of product is the standard dosage. This may be raised up to a maximum of 20 ppm, if necessary.
Storage & Handling : Store product at moderate temperatures. Do not get in eyes, skin or on clothing. In case of spillage, flush with plenty of water.
