A tin can, tin, steel can, or a can, is a sealed container for the distribution or storage of goods, composed of thin metal. Many cans require opening by cutting the "end" open; others have removable covers. Cans hold diverse contents: foods, beverages, oil, chemicals, etc.

"Tin" cans are made of tinplate (tin-coated steel). In some locations, cans made of aluminium are called "tin cans"

A drum is a cylindrical container used for shipping bulk cargo. Drums are generally used for the transportation and storage of liquids and powders. Drums are often certified for shipment of dangerous goods.The construction of drum needs to meet applicable regulations and is usually matched for compatibility with the specific product shipped. Drums are also called barrels in common usage
