Product description : ANSI/ASME B16.9 90° Short Radius Elbow is installed between two lengths of tubing (or pipe) to allow a change of direction at 90° angle. A 90º short radius elbow is mainly attached to plastic, copper, cast iron, steel, lead, and can also be attached to rubber with stainless-steel clamps . The radius of curvature of ANSI/ASME B16.9 90° Short-radius (LR) elbow is 1.0 times the pipe diameter. The short radius elbows are used where there is scarcity of space. ANSI/ASME B16.9 90° Short radius elbows give more frictional resistance to the fluid & create more pressure drop than long radius elbows.
