Melt Flow Index Tests measures the rate of extrusion of a thermoplastic material through an orifice of specific length and diameter under prescribed condition of temperature and pressure. This test is used as a means of measuring the uniformity of flow rate of the material. With the help of this test we can distinguish between the different grades of polymer.
