Contact SupplierThe experimental setup consists of a metal bar, one end of which is heated by an electrical heater while the other end projects inside a cooling water jacket. The middle portion is surrounded by a cylindrical shell filled with insulating powder and five thermocouple are placed on the bar for temperature measurement. For radial measurement of temperature 4 thermocouples are placed at a sectionsradius of 42.5 mm&55mm in the insulating shell. The heater is provided with a dimmerstat for controlling the heat input, water under a constant head is circulated through the jacket and its flow rate and temperature rise are measured using measuring jar and temperature sensors.
