Measuring Principle
Coriolis Mass Flowmeter is designed according to the principle of Coriolis force. It has two parallel vibrating tubes. During the operation, a driver stimulates the tubes to vibrate at a resonant frequency of the system. As the flow passes through the tubes, the fluid momentum coupled with the oscillatory motion created by the vibration induces a Coriolis force along the length of the tubes. This force causes the tubes to twist in opposition to each other and translates into a phase shift (or time delay) along the length of the tube. Phase Shift is directly proportional to the Mass Flow Rate, while Density can be measured based on the frequency.
