made from Natural/Neoprene rubber-coated fabrics - are designed andmanufactured to the SOLAS requirements, to the Common Requirements and to the regulations of the individual maritime authorities.

The life rafts come in rigid fibre-glass containers so constructed as to withstand hard wear. They are all equipped with emergency packs and additional raft equipment prescribed in the SOLAS regulations.

Inflatable liferafts, Boats, Hydrostatic release units need to be serviced once every twelve months by service stations which are authorised by national authorities/classification societies as well as the manufacturer of the raft.

In compliance with IMO Resolution A.761 (18) and Regulations of ‘Safety Of Life At Sea – Convention’):
a) Liferaft Service Station should be approved by National Administration as well as the manufacturer of the liferaft which is to be serviced.
b) Inflatable Liferaft, Inflatable Rescue boat and Hydrostatic Release Unit should be serviced once in 12 months.
Note (for Indian Flag vessels only): In compliance with prevailing D. G. Shipping circulars: Life rafts (of foreign manufacture) must be offered for inspection by ‘Indian Register of Shipping’ where the Service Station is not authorized by the manufacturer.
