Lumigan is a brand name of the drug bimatoprost, which is used to treat conditions that cause increased pressure in the eye, such as glaucoma and ocular hypertension. The medicine belongs to a class of drugs called prostaglandin analogs. It works by increasing the flow of natural fluids out of the eye, which lowers pressure. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Lumigan in 2001. It's manufactured by Allergan, Inc.
