What is the usage of the medicine and how does it work?

Lorbrena is prescription medicine used to treat a certain type of non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It is used only if your cancer has a specific genetic marker. Lorlatinib is a reversible tyrosine kinase inhibitor which may signal the cancer cells to grow. It block these cells' signals to stop the growth of the cancer cells.

How to take this medicine?

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and at the same time each day, with or without food. Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

What are things you need to know before taking this medicine?

Do not receive any type of vaccination while taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.
This drug is not recommended for pregnant women. If you are a woman, do not use Lorbrena if you are pregnant and use effective birth control to avoid pregnancies annd if you are a man you effective birth control if your partner can is able to get pregnant.
Do not breast-feed while using Lorbrena, and for at least 7 days after your last dose.

What are the side effects/adverse reactions of this medicines?

Common side effects of Lorbrena include Anemia (low red blood cell count), high trigylcerides or hypertriglyceridemia, low albumin (hypoalbuminemia), numbness or tingling in extremities, swelling (edema).
Uncommon side effects include back and limb pain, constipation, joint pain or arthralgias, low blood count, low phosphate, sleep disorder, speech disturbance, upper respiratory tract infection, visual disturbance, vomiting
