The addition of the printol-xl gives 15 - 25% higher color value depending upon the chemical nature of the color. These can also be used for leveling when printed goods are to be developed by hthp steaming.
---physical & chemical properties---
1. Colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid
2. Almost colorless.
3. Dilatable with water to any extent. Ph of 1000 solution is 6.5 - 7.0. 4.
4. Nonionic in nature.
---appication---
1. Make the gum paste as usual.
2. Add citric acid or any suitable acid to adjust the ph to 5.0 - 5.5. 3. Add 0.5% of printol-xl in above gum for prints to be developed by loop aging as an accelerator. Add 0.15% of printol-xl to the above gum as the leveling agent if prints are to be developed by hthp.
3. Add ore-dispersed color in adequate quantity of water and mix well to obtain desirable depth and tone of the shade.
4. Print, dry, and loop age thermo fix hthp as usual.
5. Wash, dry and finish as usual.
