Local Control Stations

The Control Panel or Console is the operational centre of a modern railway signalling installation and its use initiates the smooth and efficient movement of railway traffic. With the large areas now controlled from a singnalling centre it is most important that the console or panel be designed so as to enable convenient and precise operation by busy signal men. The DOMINO panels embody good geographical lay-out, easily operated controls and clear illuminated indications. Panel faceplates are constructed from a number of small units and have the advantage that future modifications to track layout can be carried out with the minimum of interference to the operator. DOMINO panels have been widely used by Indian Railways and cover a range of sizes from small local control panels used for signalling to the large panoramic panels.
