Class B Lightning Surge Protectors are highly inevitable part of any AC Power Electrical Installations. Lightning surge protectors are designed to protect low-voltage systems against high surge currents and over-voltage in cases triggered by indirect or direct lightning strikes.

As per RDSO/ SPN/ TC/98/2011 or latest, the Class B Surge Protector are installed in the business or housing environment to keep them safe and sound for a longer period of time. We have been offering high end Lightning SPD complying IEC 61643-1 providing a high level of protection against the lightning impulse.

The lightning surges are caused by thunderstorms, direct or close lightning strikes into its immediate surroundings or into the conductive system entering the structure (low voltage power supply). The power wiring along with the signal cables produces electrostatic discharges to get them transmitted to the electronic equipment. Whenever the voltage stroke comes, it gets arrested by the Type I Surge protectors and further transmits to the ground.

The Lightning Surge Suppression Devices are installed inside the main distribution box and no extra power supply is needed to operate the lightning surge protector which have been fitted with a mechanical fault indicator, adding effective protection to electrical plants via the pre-counter sector.

Further Class B SPD are classified according to the wiring system in industries and houses. At home, there is a single phase wiring system according to the load. In industries, the load is high as we use heavy duty machines so there is 3-phase wiring system.
