Leading Lights

The LEN360 Leading Light has been especially developed for use in marking port approach fairway channels and similar markings. The light produces a very well defined unidirectional beam with a horizontal divergence between 3º and 30º, using standard nav-aids lamps.
They can be used in two-light leading light stations as well as in one-light range light stations. Two leading lights give a good indication of the degree of navigational error and also indicate whether the ship’s position is improving or worsening. The separation between front and rear lights is optimized by calculation, according to channel characteristics and required sensitivity.
