The Lauki is rich in calcium, phosphorous, iron, and dietary fibers and vitamin C. The Lauki Aloe Vera juice is also used in traditional medicine for treating acidity, indigestion, and ulcers.

If you are on a low calorie diet and are trying to lose weight, a glass of  Lauki juice can help control the hunger pangs. Bottle gourd juice is considered to be useful in conditions of constipation, urinary disorders, excessive thirst due to severe diarrhoea, diabetes. A glass of bottle gourd juice taken daily is also considered to prevent premature graying of hair. It is also said to help control high blood pressure, cholesterol and heart ailments.

Take 30 ml twice daily, direct or mixed with water or fruit juice before meal.
