This is a device which incorporates hepa filters and motor-blowers for the purpose of supplying laminar (undirectional) flow of clean air to the controlled work space. This air is directed in horizontal and vertical paths over the work area. Air velocities are usually of the order of 0.36 msec to 0.56 msec.
