Operation Lamellar Decanter is a Solid-Liquid Separator based on Sedimentation process where the entire space in the Clarifier is divided into several integral Sections or Chambers. One side of each blade provides a settling surface. The Untreated inlet stream enters the Lamella and transverses through feed ducts longitudinally along the Lamella Tank. Solids now separated descend a short distance onto the setting surface formed by numerous blades & continue to slide down to Collection hopper. Clarified water is collected all across the Decanter Section through perforated double wail pipes. Water level is maintained through external Adjustable Weir. Suitable Flocculation aids are used to enhance efficiency of removal. Praneet Lamellar Decanter
