Contact SupplierA study by rdso had revealed that most of the rails fail along the axis of rails starting at the hole provided for joining the rails by means of fish plates and bolts. These rails fail due to fatigue at reversal of stress) the sharp corners of holes. To avoid this, a process of chamfering of holes on the existing rails by using high tensile bolt and nut, and a torque wrench with built-in ratchet has been evolved. the torque wrench exerts compressive load of 12.5 tons on the rail holes and the area around the holes will be work hardened and will be capable of withstanding a greater fatigue then the ordinary rails.
