When used properly, they can provide an effective backup safety device for the containment and exhaust of toxic, offensive or flammable materials when the containment of an experiment or procedure fails and vapors or dust escape from the apparatus being used. The Cabinet is made of thick ply board & reinforced with teak wood whatever necessary interiors coated with asbestos sheets, coated with epoxy paint or convert FRP lining as per requirements.
Working table is covered with glazed ceramic tiles and provided with necessary water inlet & outlets with sink (stainless steel/prosaleen). Provision of water inlet/outlet, sink will be on request only.
Front door is made of 6mm clear glass in laminated teakwood frame and connected with a counter weight balance through a iron rope. The door will have the provision of vertical sliding facility.
Exhaust blower consists of single phase motor, directly connected with a PVC Exhaust blower consists of single phase motor, directly connected with a PVC impeller and enclosed in a epoxy coated MS casing. The rating, speed & capacity of the Blower sill are designed on the basis of the SIZE & VOLUME of the FUME HOOD.
However the suction velocity of the FUME HOOD will be around 100 cfm per square feet.
The exhaust assembly can be of build-in-type or external mount type. The blower assembly will directly be connected with suitable exhaust ducting, which is made of PVC pipes with suitable bend & joints and rain guard.
