Krill Oil is an extract derived from the marine species known as Antarctic Krill (Euphausia Superba). It is the rich source of Phospholipids, Omega 3 Fatty Acids- Eicosa Pentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosa Hexaenoic Acid (DHA), Choline and also the antioxidant Astaxanthin. Krill oil is considered to be superior to the customary fish oil owing to its stability, less mercury and better bioavailability of the fatty acids. Unlike in fish oil, the Omega-3 fatty acids in Krill Oil have higher absorption rate and higher bioavailability as it is in phospholipid form.
