the maximum impurity levels will be as below :
antimony : 0.2%
copper : 0.1%
arsenic : 0.05%
iron : 0.02%
aluminum : 0.001%
zinc : 0.005%
cadmium : 0.005%
others : 0.08%
flux : (confined to mil- f -14256f standard)
the core flux will be of mildly activated and non-corrosive type. Water white grade rosin shall contain an activating agent evenly distributed there in. The activator shall not contain more than 0.05 % by mass of halogen, calculated as chlorine. The activating agents will be of organic type. The flux shall be homogenous and uniformly distributed throughout the tudinal axis of wire. Flux percentage:
(rosin flux)
the mass of rosin flux in the core of solder wire, commonly termed as flux percentage shall be 1.9 to 3 percent of total mass flux core solder wire. If flux percent specified by customer it will be maintained within ± 0.2% tolerance.
(no clean flux):-
if no clean flux core is a no clean formulation therefore the residues do not need to be removed. Typically using in pcb assemblies, electronic componets assemblies. Flux percentage shall be 1.00 to 2.00 percent of total mass flux core solder wire.if flux percent specified by customer it will be maintained within ± 0.2% tolerance.
(urea flux core)
urea cored solder wire will be manufactured from virgin quality non-ferrous metal alloys. Urea will be of c.p. Grade type. The application of this solder wire is used in vast industries like various types capacitor manufacturers. The speciality of urea flux is that it does not contaminate oil of capacitors and does not affect its electrical parameters
