Since it uses no water and processes solely using air, it has a distinct advantage of not adding an undesirable increase in moisture content which is normally associated with wet processes. Typically in a Sponge Iron unit where minimum moisture addition is sought in the clean coal and the rejects could be used in the power generation through AFBC boilers, this jigging machine would be preferred by customers.
