Leaves : Used extremely and internally both form their cooling property.Flower : Recommended for apthae, chapping, haemorrhoids, tumours, in rectal infections, for dysentery, diarrhoea, bilious and inflammatory.Seed : Carminative, tonic and aphrodisiac. An infusion given to small pox patient as a cooling drink. Roasted and infusion used for dysentery. Decoction administered in drinks for rectal infections and lotions; flour in poultice. The seeds also used to resolve inflammatory tumours such as carbuncles and windows.
