Iron ore is minerals or rock deposits in which iron was concentrated by natural forces during the formation of the earth's crust. Iron ore was formed over 2 billion years ago. Iron compounds in the water and down to the bottom of the ocean, where the sand and fine-grained material called silt formed there into a rock. Earth quakes and the shrinking of the earth's crust raised the rock above the level of the water. Iron ore deposits were formed in different ways. For example the slow cooling of molten volcanic rock produced iron ore deposits in some areas
Uses :
The uses of iron ore are from things like paper clips to parts of automobiles. It's used for other things to like heaters, pipes, tubes, bars, sheets and wire and rails. Tin coated steel and lots of other things. Sheet steel is used for the Production of automobiles bodies, office furniture and kitchen cabinet's. Steel plates are used for heavy construction such as buildings, bridges, ships and other large heavy, durable structures, clothes, food. It is also used for railroad tracks.
